Pompeii Italy

I’m not sure what I expected when I arrived at Pompeii but I will say this, the site is huge. To think that it was all buried under some 6 meters of ash and lost from the world for over 1500 years is quite astounding.

Be sure to set aside a good day to explore the ruins and if its hot pack plenty of water and sunscreen.

Indeed it is Ayngelina. Pompeii was just huge, streets and streets of buildings. I love that so much was still well preserved, even art on the walls.

You have to Andi, had I not been melting under the sun I’m sure I would have spend all day there. I missed an entire section but couldn’t go on with the heat radiating off the stone.

Brendan mate its sure worth a visit. If just to see how much of it has survived. I was a little saddened to see they are restoring some sections with new materials though.
