haha Cailin. Jellyfish are pretty nasty buggers and yes they do come in set seasons. In high time though there are some beaches you just dont swim at. Even if the buggers are dead and washed up on the beach they can still sting you.

The horror story that I've heard of the most is up north where there are stingers or box jellyfish! Right before I hopped into the water at the Great Barrier reef they told us about them and they said "Some of them are impossible to see and if they get you that will kill you" they then handed be this thin spandex type wetsuit that was hardly reassuring and made me put it on to go swimming. However my hands, feet and head were unprotected! Apparently there are different seasons for them and I was there just at the end of the season. But I think that's crazy if it can kill you and you can't even see it!!

Australia is my number one on the to-travel-to list. Would like to go for an entire month. I will probably need to come to the Aussie Nomad for some advice. ;)

I haven't heard any negative stories, just positive ones, actually. What's cool about Australia is how animals are in close proximity.
